Everything you need to know about HerdID

A digital horse passport is an electronic version of your horse's official passport that contains all registration details, ownership history, and required documentation. HerdID provides a secure, accessible digital passport that can be exported for travel and official purposes, while also integrating with health records and vet verifications.
Veterinarians registered on HerdID can review and verify health records, vaccination entries, and treatment notes. When a vet verifies a record, it receives a verified badge, ensuring accuracy and professional credibility. Vets can also approve specific messages and notes for use in AI training, maintaining control over what data informs insights.
No. HerdID's AI features provide insights and pattern recognition based on verified data, but they do not diagnose or replace veterinary care. All AI training data comes only from vet-approved content, ensuring professional oversight. AI insights are designed to assist with reminders, trend identification, and evidence-based recommendations, always in consultation with your veterinarian.
Yes. HerdID allows you to export your horse's records, passport information, and health timeline. Pro Owner and Stable plans include enhanced export capabilities, allowing you to download data in various formats for your records or for use with other systems.
HerdID is designed to be multi-language friendly. While the initial launch focuses on English, we're building support for additional languages, including Afrikaans, to better serve the South African equine community. The interface and documentation will be available in multiple languages.
Stable plans include role-based access control. Stable managers can assign different permission levels to staff members, such as grooms, stable hands, and veterinarians. Each role has appropriate access - for example, grooms might view records and add basic entries, while only vets can verify medical information. All access and changes are logged in the audit trail.
